Dr. Christy Lewis

Dr. Christina “Christy” Lewis provides integrative counseling and brain training for children, teens, and adults, supporting individuals experiencing a wide range of concerns - from anxiety, depression, ADHD, insomnia, and chronic pain to traumatic brain injury (TBI), life transitions, and performance optimization. Her approach blends evidence-based therapy with a brain-based, neurocognitive framework to help clients improve emotional regulation, cognitive functioning, sleep, and overall well-being. She has specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), along with extensive experience addressing trauma-related dysregulation and complex, treatment-resistant conditions.
Dr. Lewis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with supervisory status and is Board Certified in both Neurofeedback and Biofeedback through the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA). She has been active in the field of neurofeedback since 1995 and is the Founder and Clinical Director of The Biofeedback, Education & Training Center in Plano, Texas—an integrative practice dedicated to combining neuroscience, psychology, and advanced brain-based therapies to support lasting change.
She earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Professional School of Psychology in Sacramento, California, her Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington, and her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of North Texas. With over three decades of clinical experience across medical, mental health, and neurotherapy settings, Dr. Lewis is recognized for her expertise in integrating QEEG brain mapping, neurofeedback, and biofeedback with personalized, data-informed treatment planning.

Carmen Moreno

Carmen holds both a master’s and bachelor’s degree in social work, specializing in mental health and substance use. She provides counseling, including specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), to individuals under the direct supervision of Dr. Christy Lewis. Additionally, Carmen conducts Quantitative EEG collections and bio/neurofeedback training sessions with clients. Carmen is also the Lead Coordinator over our remote (home-training) program!
Carmen is passionate about supporting young adults through life transitions, helping them build confidence and empowering them to be agents of change in their own lives. In her free time, Carmen enjoys traveling to new places, being the "cool aunt" to her niece and nephew, and attending concerts.

Laurel Moran
BCN-L, LPC Associate supervised by Shelly Bates,LPC-S
Laurel is an LPC Associate* and board certified neurofeedback clinician. She is trained and experienced in Brainspotting, a powerful yet gentle approach that uses eye movement and bodily sensation to process and release emotional/body pain, trauma, and other experiences. Brainspotting also helps people identify and expand upon their strengths and insights. Laurel enjoys working with people from all cultural backgrounds and from the LGBTQ community who are experiencing anxiety and stress, complex trauma-related symptoms, life transitions, and parenting/caregiving challenges. *Laurel is supervised by Shelly Bates, LPC-S TX Lic# 75878.

Tim Thompson
MSW, BA Psychology
Tim earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Michigan State University in 2019 and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2025, specializing in mental health and substance abuse. He is currently offering counseling services under supervision and pursuing licensure as a clinical social worker. Tim provides both counseling and neurofeedback training, helping clients address mental and emotional challenges that impact their daily lives. He brings almost three years of experience in neurofeedback training, is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), and offers individual psychotherapy to teens and adults. Outside of his professional life, Tim enjoys playing soccer, skiing, and cooking exotic dishes. He is deeply committed to helping clients achieve their goals and reach their full potential.

Joshua Brock
BS Neuroscience
Joshua graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from The University of Texas at Dallas in May 2025. He currently manages front desk duties, including marketing efforts, and is also one of our Neurofeedback Technicians. He is currently studying for the MCAT with the goal of attending medical school and specializing in neurology.
Outside of work, Joshua enjoys visiting national parks, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends.
