COUNSELING

Counseling Room.jpg

Our approach is cognitive/ behavioral, goal-oriented, and personalized, as we believe the process of counseling and educating involves creativity, skillfulness, and a collaborative alliance between the therapist/educator and the client. If one is not able to make it in office, we also offer counseling via Zoom.

Carmen has passion for working with young adults undergoing life changes whom are needing support to grow and learn with these transitions. She focuses on meeting individuals where they are at, creating a safe space to express their needs and concerns. Carmen helps clients utilizing a strengths-based model to identify coping skills. She also implements motivational interviewing with clients to improve confidence and self-esteem. A cognitive-behavioral (CBT) approach is at the forefront of her work with clients to address irrational thinking patterns to improve the client's view of self and their environment. Her goal is to assist individuals to identify self-strengths, and give the individual appropriate tools to implement to manage with triggers.
